2024-12-10 Announcement ... + Update

PLEASE HELP YOUR LOCAL STATION STAY ON AIR BY DONATING THROUGH LOCAL GIVING

We are thrilled to announce that Seahaven FM, the local radio station in East Sussex, may NOT be closing.

After our announcement on the 29^th November that Seahaven FM was planning to close down in January, there was a huge reaction from listeners and advertisers who want their station to remain on air. Many told us how much they like the great range of music played and the useful local information presented on air.

The strength of support has been heart-warming. Many listeners expressed a wish to help to raise funds by making a donation to keep us going.

We have also been approached by a local sponsor who wishes to support the station. Together, these approaches could help secure our financial future.

Additionally, we have been able to recruit new staff who will be able share the work which has overloaded the current management team. 

Today we are launching a Local Giving scheme (www.localgiving.org/seahavenfm) to help Seahaven FM stay on-air.

You can help by giving a monthly donation of as little as £2 per month. When donating, if you click the option for “Gift Aid” then the money we receive will be topped up by £25%, without costing you any more. You can cancel your monthly donation at any time.

All your gifts have been very welcome. Those giving a single amount are playing a part in stopping the station from going off air in January. Those who have signed up, or are going to sign up for a monthly donation to the station are helping us with our financial planning across 2025 and beyond.
